When talking about literature production, stock has two meanings: the amount of an item of literature being stored,

In simple terms the paper weight refers to how heavy or thick a piece of paper is. Itβs normally measured in gsm β
grams per square meter. 100 gsm is the weight of paper typically used for printing letterheads. 300 gsm feels

As the name suggests, digital printing is a relatively recent innovation. The very best digital printing machines
produce literature of a very high quality. Digital printing methods tend to be quicker than litho printing (see below).
It is an especially cost-effective method of printing small quantities or low volumes.
Litho printing is the traditional form of printing using printing presses. It is still a very popular method of
printing β especially for large quantities.
The different paper sizes are shown below. However, as a simple guide, A4 is the normal size of a letterhead. A5 is half
the size of A4, A6 is half the size of A5, and A3 is twice the size of A4.
Sizes shown are in millimetres.
A6 - 148.5 x 105
A5 - 210 x 148.5
A4 - 297 x 210
A3 - 420 x 297
A2 - 594 x 420
Different paper sizes work better for different items of literature and also the postage costs can vary depending on size.
